	Rowan Tree Farm is located on Route 235, one of Maine's official "scenic byways", just two miles south of the Union Common. Union is at the cross roads of mid-coast Maine, with Routes 235 and 131 crossing Routes 1, 17 and 3, connecting Union with the Damariscotta, Waldoboro, and Thomaston area, the Lincolnville & Belfast area, and the Camden, Rockport, & Rockland area along the coast. Union also is directly connected inland to Augusta (Maine's Capital), where Route 17 crosses Route 295 and Route 95, the Maine Turnpike.

From the farm we can travel throughout mid-coast Maine and beyond on good state roads, avoiding the traffic on coastal Route 1. The saltwater is within 30 minutes in three different directions, in any of the towns between Newcastle, and Belfast. Further a field, our central location makes coastal Maine from Portland to Bar Harbor easily accessible within a 90 minute drive.

Of course, if you want to explore closer to home, we can also alert you to exceptional places to explore right near the farm. Rowan Tree Farm is on the Seven Tree Pond portion of the St. George River. The St. George River Valley is a gem of a place to explore. It, and the neighboring Medomak River Valley, form scenic corridors for wildlife and humans from interior mountains to the sea.
Directions to the Farm From Route 1 in Waldoboro, 1 mile east of Moody's Diner, turn on the Union Road, Route 235. Travel 6 miles, and when the the road turns sharply to the left you'll see Seven Tree Pond to your right. Go 1 mile more and turn right on Fire Road 20 (our driveway). Our yellow farmhouse will be just visible from the road. From Route 17 in Union, turn south on the either the Common Road, Route 235, or Route 131 (turn immediately right by the Town Hall) and proceed to the Union Common. At the Post Office, turn on Route 235 South, travel 2 miles, and turn left on Fire Road 20 (our driveway). Our yellow farmhouse will be just visible from the road.
